A convenient walk out to the covered porch allows for an extended living and dining area overlooking the lake, the perfect spot to retreat to the quietness of the cove and letting go of the hustle of everyday life. A soothing king master with an ensuite bath and views of Lake Norman is also located on the main level.
The calming aura continues to the upper level of Energy Lane to a spacious king with a zen-like ensuite bathroom and a work area in case you need to escape to a quiet place to catch up on work during your stay. A queen room with a desk, as well as a bunk room with a full-over-full sleeping arrangement are also located on the upper level. The kids in your group are bound to enjoy the game room featuring a twin daybed with trundle, a sleeper chair, foosball table and a giant Scrabble board where your group can spend time competing for the top spot as a wordsmith.
Energy Lane’s outdoor living space provides plenty of adventure options, including swimming, sunning, fishing, and kayaking. Maximum overnight occupancy is 12; maximum daytime occupancy is 20. The garage at this property is NOT accessible to renters. This property has two active security cameras on premise. One pointed to the driveway and road and a second pointed towards the dock.

Lake Norman water levels are managed by Duke Power. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee any depth of water at this property.

Beautiful, well supplied, and comfortable home. We had terrible weather but the home still made it a great stay. We will likely stay there again when we have a longer break.
From the level of communication to prepare us for our stay, to the peaceful alcove, to the beautifully appointed home and back porch decor, Energy Lane was nothing short of a little piece of heaven for the week we spent there. This is perfect for young families and singles who are looking to spend time on or by the water. We were only 9 minutes from a Publix in Sherrills Ford, and 15 minutes to shops and restaurants in Mooresville and Davidson, so there was plenty to do for everyone.
We stayed at the Energy Lane property for 4 nights. The Good- Property: This property is stunning. The interior from top to bottom was designed to make the stay a lux experience. The pictures posted are a great representation of what we walked into. It is a modern design (yes, the patio furniture and sofa are sunken), but there are a lot of soft touches to the home. It felt like our own private villa. We particularly liked the game room. There is a foosball table and a giant magnetic scrabble board. The bunk mattresses are larger than a twin. We fit 3 toddlers on the bottom bunk without them being on top of each other. I will also say that this is the most prepared/stocked kitchen, bath, and laundry set up I have seen. This property provided soap, more dishes, cutlery, baking items, and pots & pans than 12 people could use in a day, TP, Kleenex, laundry & dish washer detergents, towels (both lake and bathroom), etc. We love to cook, and it’s always nice when cooking spray and salt & pepper are provided. We felt very secluded. There is a neighboring property, but it is at a different elevation, so we didn’t feel cramped or watched. The outdoor spaces were also lovely. It rained while we were there, and we could still sit on the covered deck area and watch the rain and view the lake. The hot tub was also great. Location/ Lake Usage: It is true that this location on the lake is not meant for swimming. They do provide 2 kayaks (and we brought 2 more of our own). It is a short kayak trip to an area that is deep enough to go swimming. We plopped the kids in kayaks, and they had a great time floating around the lake. We barely saw any activity. It is also a no wake zone, so we didn’t have to worry about that issue. We rented a pontoon boat from a place about 15 minutes away for a day. That scratched our itch to get to a different part of the lake. There is a Publix less than 10 minutes away for any grocery needs we had. Concierge: StayLakeNorman has a great system for communication. They phoned ahead of time to go over some rules and regs and confirm our stay. They have an app that give you the check in code, and they also text to make sure everything at the property is going well. They were responsive and professional. The Unfortunate/Yet Still Relatively Good- We did have a few issues that I’ll address. A few days before our stay I got a call from the StayLakeNorman team. The water heater was not functioning, and they were awaiting a replacement part. The team was very apologetic and presented us with 2 options. Keep our reservation and get a discount or get a full refund and a referral to a property that was not theirs (all their other properties were booked up). We still stayed, and don’t regret it. They equipped us with an outdoor shower as a band aid. They went above and beyond to try to solve the issue. Secondly, on day 3 we woke up to no water. We contacted them and the water was fixed within a few hours. Not a great thing to wake up to, but they were extremely quick to repair the issue. Overall: I have stayed at a lot of rental properties, and I am blown away by how prepared, stocked, and turnkey this place was. From check – in to check- out.
