would have been a 5 star if hot tub was working and the electric dryer does not dry well- after 40 min- hour- still had to hang dry- great views and home is stocked with amenities- also clean :)

What a little slice of heaven! We could not have been happier with our time at Playaway! The view was spectacular! The lot was amazing! The dock the best!! It was so private and peaceful! We loved the beautiful house it was perfect! We can not say enough good things about Fran and everyone on the Staylakenorman team! It’s our new favorite place! We can’t wait to visit again!!

A gorgeous property, plenty of outdoor green space for playing games, and privacy. Plenty of windows to enjoy outdoors while indoors, and plenty of dock space to sunbath, eat, drink or fish. Large bedrooms with comfortable beds, TVs, large closets, and sliding glass doors to watch the sunrise and easily access the deck and hot tub. Spacious indoor living including a large kitchen with every cooking amenity you might need, a large dining room area that combines the living area as well. The staff was pleasant and attentive to our needs. We love this property and will reserve again next year. This is our fifth year at this property. If there was a downside, it would be that it only has two bathrooms - but we make do.

I rent about 5 houses a year for travel… this blew away every house and company I have ever used. The house was very organized and stocked with items that are normally not present. Their kitchen was so organized ? I want to marry whoever did that. The company was easy to communicate with and quickly takes care of whatever you are needing. I love the app they used for the stay. They have set the bar way too high for any future houses I rent.

The house had everything we needed! Expansive views of the LKN, extremely clean and great location. We had the best time staying here for the 4th of July weekend! Whenever we come to LKN, we ALWAYS stay with Stay Lake Norman!

My family and I rented the Playaway for an extended weekend and I was impressed before I arrived. We were contacted by the rental team before we arrived with tips to enjoy our vacation and the rental team were able to arrange a boat rental for us during our stay. The Playaway was beautifully decorated and very clean. The view could not be beat. I woke the first morning to a 135 degree view and a gorgeous sunrise. Overall, we had a wonderful time and I would not hesitate to return to this property or use Stay Lake Norman.

Simply a Perfect vacation setting. We love the beautiful view of the lake from nearly every spot in the house with sunrise especially gorgeous. A well equipped large kitchen and very clean throughout. Plenty of room to entertain, and comfy king beds. A private beach area with lovely fire pit area to toast marshmallows. Water pressure a bit low for showers, cushions for chairs on the patio were without cushioning and stones from the driveway are easily tracked into the house. But those are small things compared to the great location beautiful yard and service provided. We’re repeat customers!!

Our family with three grown sons had a fantastic week away at the Playaway property by Stay Lake Norman. The outdoor space was truly unique and a true highlight. We played corn hole at sunset with a nice cold beer and competitive Rummikub on the wonderful covered dock at night. Boat rides and sunset cruises daily. The house was a great modern renovation and nicely furnished. Huge glass windows gave you all the views you are searching for. We had the great fortune of watching the moon rise from the dock each evening, including a full moon!

We couldn’t have asked for a nicer property and location. We loved the huge yard and the dock where we hung out most days. We also rented a boat and the process was extremely smooth. Would definitely love to come back!

Had a Great Stay at the Playaway. Very comfortable accommodations with a fantastic panoramic view of Lake Norman. Super dock layout. The sandy beach and kayaks were an added bonus.

I just checked out of Stay Lake Norman's Playaway home and I miss it already. It is a serene sanctuary located right on Lake Norman. The home, with huge glass windows, is beautiful in the sun, rain and fog. The Stay Lake Norman staff had the home stocked with everything I needed and was very responsive to any need during my stay. If you ever have the opportunity to travel to Lake Norman, I highly recommend the Stay Lake Norman homes

We so enjoyed our time relaxing at the house. We agree wholeheartedly with the previous reviewers who commented on the nice and helpful staff, extremely comfortable beds, and well stocked cupboards. We did not expect that they would provide Keurig coffee pods and individual portions of sugar and creamer as well as toiletries and cleaners. The views are beautiful, and we spent a lot of time in the great room. You can't see the big TV in any of the photos of the great room, but it was perfect for enjoying together with simple instructions on how to use it. What a special touch that there was a Christmas tree to make it feel festive!

I found this home originally on another site but stumbled upon Staylakenorman.com. I hit the jackpot. This house was the epitome of stocked. The amenities were endless. I purchased items that were not necessary. Do not bring anything but your clothing and family. The customer service provide by Fran and her team was impeccable. My family traveled from 3 different states and this home comfortably slept 10 people. The ice maker is slow to make ice...I only wrote this to let reviewers know this is the only thing to “complain” about. A previous renter obviously removed batteries from all the light fixture remotes but Fran was willing to replace immediately and i declined. The place was clean, renovated and comfortable.

We had a lovely time October 2020 at PlayAway. The view of the lake, the very large grassy yard with a short walk to the water and beach area make this property a spectacular choice. Its located on the end of a cul de sac so it makes traffic minimal and walking in this residential area pleasant. Its close proximity to shopping and grocery stores is convenient. The staff are extremely responsive for any needs, they are always friendly and helpful. The pre-rental emails are informative and helpful too. This is our third time at this property and we love it as it is well equipped and able to handle any cooking or entertainment needs; from towels, to kayaks, to outdoor dining. The view from inside the home is such a pleasant experience. All the beds seem comfortable and there is spacious areas indoors for entertaining as well in inclement weather. Very nice rental- highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. We love the wide open view of the lake and waking up every morning to the view of the lake. We enjoyed rolling over in bed in the middle of the night and seeing the lake dotted by dock lights from other homes on the lake, My wife was impressed by the kitchen setup and how they thought of everything that you might need in the kitchen. I enjoyed coffee on the dock every morning and boating by day Our dream is to someday have our own Vacation lake home

We loved our July week at the Playaway property, such a great view of all the action on Lake Norman. The house had everything you need and renting a boat allowed us to see all parts of the lake while also enjoying the water sports. The weather was great so we used the beach area each day. Rafts in the day and fires at night. Just a great all-around property. Thanks to the whole StayLake Norman staff for great response times and help when needed. We will see you next year!!!

Great property. The home was very well appointed, the beds very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The yard, the dock and the beach all excellent for enjoying outdoor fun and entertaining. Fantastic view of the lake. The location was quiet and secluded but close to shopping and restaurants.

This house is the perfect lake house for your family or friends vacation! Extremely clean and well stoked, we were pleasantly surprised by all this house had to offer. The backyard provides an ideal space to hang out, shaded by trees and we enjoyed countless hours of floating off the dock on our floats. The kitchen and bathrooms are very well stoked with everything you could want or need to make your stay comfortable. Highly recommend!

Playaway was perfect! It felt like we were at an exclusive private resort. The view is gorgeous and the water is fantastic. With the sharp central living area open to accommodate everyone, there are also several living spaces on the deck and the dock for alone time. Can't say enough good things about the place. Our boat needed a battery and they just happened to be driving by! The people are so nice and accommodating. I Would love to see more lighting over the dining area for games and a foot water bucket at the bottom of the stairs to rinse sand. There is a hose on the side of the home however a bucket would be expedient. Loved this place!

Not being one to write reviews, this is the exception. Having grown up for 41 years with a summer lake home, we have always been accustomed to everything being the way it should be. The home, flat lot, water access, nice dock, convenient grilling, outdoor fire pit, private, great water for swimming and easy boat access. This home has it ALL. Shari and the team do such a top notch job from the largest to smallest details. This has it all and then some. By far and away the best summer vacation spot!

Lake Norman Playaway provided the perfect vacation getaway on beautiful Lake Norman. The house was perfect...beautifully appointed with a wall of windows for a view of the lake. We also rented a boat through Stay Lake Norman. Kyle provided excellent customer service for the boat rental and we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the lake. We used the kayaks and the paddle board that came the house. We spent time on the beach and the dock. We really used and enjoyed all the house has to offer and would most definitely stay at this house again! We had a wonderful family vacation!!

We enjoyed our stay at PlayAway very much! It’s a beautifully updated and decorated home with an amazing view! The outdoor living space, dock and beach were a wonderful place to relax with a drink and take in the view. It seemed to be a quiet area even though there are plenty of neighbors. You still have privacy with how they chose to landscape. The deck was easily accessible from two of the bedrooms. It’s spacious and inviting as soon as you open the front door and come face to face with that beautiful view! The kitchen is spacious and was nicely equipped. We had a private chef prepare dinner one evening and he had more than enough space to work. The home is close to several grocery stores, golf courses, and other activities. I highly recommend StayLakeNorman. I cannot say enough positive things about them and what a pleasure it was to work with them. The communication was wonderful! Whenever we needed something or had a question they got back with us immediately. Catherine and Sheri are amazing! We will definitely consider returning to PlayAway in the future. The only downfall on this home and the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 3 is the fact that it only has two bathrooms and we had 6 adults. It’s totally do-able, but another bathroom would be perfect.

One step inside the front door of this lakefront property and we were hooked! This home was decorated very nicely and was stocked with everything we needed. My one suggestion would be to add more lighting in the den/kitchen areas.

Beautifully decorated home with all of the conveniences. Modern but comfortable finishes, luxury beds & linens. Floor to ceiling windows throughout the lake facing home. I miss awaking to the view of the water and sunrise before I even lifted my head from the pillow. No detail was overlooked. This location can not be compared to any other on the lake. Upscale dock with lighting. The hammock was well-used.
