Nights on Normandy

We absolutely loved our 4 nights at Nights on Normandy! A quiet location on the Lake, but close to everything that we needed. The home has high end furnishings, a beautiful kitchen, comfortable beds and great customer service!

Only downside would be the kayaks down on the dock were filled with spiders and leaves so we had to deep clean those off before using them. Other than that, we absolutely loved everything!

My husband and I, our adult children, grandmother, and grandkids all enjoyed our stay! Something for everyone for sure! We enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood and the home was very clean and comfortable. Sunsets were stunning, the kayaks were a nice option, and the game room was so fun! We ate all our meals on the deck, and fished from the dock. Nice deep water as well for swimming or boating!

The house was just as advertised! Very clean and perfect for our family of 7. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and especially fishing off the dock and jumping in the lake! Renting a boat from the company was very easy and convenient. We especially loved the pool/game house. The hosts was very responsive we would def stay again!

This was our 5th stay at Nights on Normandy. It’s a great house and the management team is exceptional. They answer texts immediately and take care of any issues promptly. We were there during the hurricane and lost power for a day. We were provided with plenty of water as well as battery operated lights. At one point a smoke alarm went off for about 15 seconds, and when I called they had maintenance there immediately. The property is close to grocery store and restaurants. The place is relatively private. The only downside to the house, and this can’t be changed, is that there is only one bathroom upstairs (2BR plus bunk room up there) but that hasn’t kept us from coming back. We will keep coming back as long as this house is a rental. 🤗

Very well laid out, and our family and kiddos enjoyed lake and pool. Is in a neighborhood, but as I understand this is similar to how many/most lake houses in this area are (as opposed to only houses around the lake itself) Clean, plus had all we needed inside and out for a very fun reprieve / mini vacation! Kiddos even fished (and caught several which they released back) right off the dock. Definitely recommend.

Overall this was an amazing property to stay at. Shari was able to accommodate us for a last minute check in, I’m talking within hours. She was even able to get us a boat for our stay even with it being Fathers Day weekend. The house was very clean with clear and easy instructions for check in/check out procedures. I would definitely stay again in the future!
Our only issue wasn’t about the property or host, rather the next door neighbors. They kept their 2 small dogs outside all day and through the evening. They were barking non stop and it was difficult to fall asleep or enjoy a peaceful time outside. It was noted that quiet time was after 10pm and the dogs were barking well past that. We had to file a noise complaint due to the excessive barking and we honestly felt bad for the dogs seeing that they were caged up outside. We are dog lovers as we have one of our own but the neighbors could have been a little more respectful.

We truly enjoyed staying at Nights on Normandy. Location is right on the water and very peaceful but also only 5 minutes to Harris Teeter grocery and several other food choices. Our teenage boys loved having their own bedrooms upstairs and the games in the pool house. Our lab absolutely loved the big fenced yard. They took care of everything including mowing grass when it was long. We will definitely be staying here again.

Nights on Normandy house was perfect for our family get together. The house was very comfortable, well appointed, great views, fun "garage" game room, fire pit, and on & on. The location is great for Harris Teeter and there's a fun park for the kids approx 2 miles away. The check-in & check-out process was a breeze and the staff was extremely responsive to any of our questions and/or needs. We had 6 adults and 3 kids under 4 staying here and again, perfect place to spend Thanksgiving. Yes, we would stay here again!!

Loved our time on Normandy! The house was perfect for our family as we celebrated our son's wedding n LKN! The only negative was that the core aeration was done just prior to our arrival and we dealt with mud everywhere! We wish that it could have happened after our stay during the following open week! We would still come back & hope to in the future! Thanks for everything! The heater for the game room was a plus!:) Really appreciate your quick responses!

We will be back! The house was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was beautiful and relaxing. We also really liked the outdoor space. Pool was perfect with a pretty view of the lake. We also really liked the game room, the fire pit, and the hibachi grill. The owner thought of everything!

This was our 3rd year of staying at Nights on Normandy. It’s perfect. The house is very well equipped. The kitchen has everything one needs to prepare any meal. The house is in a relaxed setting, the pool house is a bonus! The property managers are always responsible if we need something or have a question. We plan to book this home again next summer.

We had a great time on Lake Norman and at this house. It was a perfect fit for 6 adults and 4 kids. The (2) bedrooms upstairs are small, but we didn't spend much time in them and the beds were very comfortable. The kids room is open (no door and a large open window at the top of the stairs.) Highly recommend bringing a white noise machine to drown out noise from downstairs. The kids were so tired that they just passed out anyway and the white noise was very effective! The kitchen is amazing (and well stocked!!!) and the outdoor space is to die for. We will absolutely be booking again. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

Stayed here 6/5-12/21, great job by the folks at StayLakeNorman in managing this property. Very responsive to all inquiries. Property itself very clean and well maintained - everything worked the way it should. The upstairs loft area where the bunk beds and twin beds are is an open area without a door. Master Bedroom King Bed was extremely comfortable with plush feeling mattress. Plenty of hot water as all 8 of us could shower and not have a concern of running the hot water tank out of water. Pool is not heated and is under shade part of the day, so it was a little cooler than we'd have liked, but was very clean. Detached garage has been converted into a game room / bar area / pool house with foosball and ping pong table. Didnt hear a peep nor even see the neighbors on either side of the property. Kitchen has everything you need (blender, crockpot, toaster, lots of pots and pans, etc...) Only suggestion would be to have a 2nd full size fridge (the detached garage area has a small wine fridge). All in all, a very nice place that you would not be disappointed with!

Had a great time last week (June 5-12,2021). Very clean and well maintained. The large deck area, pool, and pool house were great for the outside living. Everyone was able to take hot shower at anytime (obviously have a large hot water tank). Quiet little cove of the lake with about 3-4 min idle out to the open water. StayLakeNorman runs this property quite well, everything was smooth and good communication. Rented a pontoon boat through them as well and that was just a seamless operation. Highly recommend this property if it fits your budget!

We live in Charlotte, NC (only about 40 minutes away). We wanted to do something with our family that didn’t involve a plane or canceled trip (many canceled due to Covid). We were extremely happy with nights on Normandy. A few highlights/observations: Cleanliness was great Everything we needed was included - down to the Pam spray in the kitchen Loved the high end appliances Pool was cold - but we knew it would be (early April) Playroom/gameroom was a hit. Kids spent a lot of time out there Location to HT and LKN state park couldn’t be beat Boat rental was seamless - highly recommend Loved the fire pit - and firewood was included Loved the kayaks and paddle board (lake was cold - but we knew that) Lots of carpenter bees and wasps. Traps would be helpful. Dishwasher seal was broken - might want to repair that Ants were present around sink and trash area A few boards on deck were loose - recommend checking those. We put a chair over a few so we didn’t trip. Overall - great experience and we would rent this house again. Staylakenorman was also very responsive! Would use them again too. My family and I had a great time in the lake. It was my birthday and my family of 5 lounged around and enjoyed the many sitting areas outside on the beautiful deck. We played ping pong and enjoyed the fire pit. I loved the quiet nights and in the morning we were greeted with a gaggle of geese. We look forward to staying again.

Thank you for a wonderful 4 nights with our family. The kitchen was well stocked as we cooked all meals in to avoid restaurants. Very close to a grocery store. Had fun on kayak and paddle board. TVs had access to Netflix, Hulu etc which was great for day it rained all day. Many places to gather inside and out. Loved the fire pit. Had ping pong and foosball contests. Perfect location for family holiday.

This was a very nice home with great amenities for our vacation with families and children. All of us had a peaceful, fun, and relaxing time. Only thing I would mention is the room with single beds for children has an opening so can't really be closed off. But otherwise, it was wonderful and the agency was very helpful with any questions or requests we had.

Our family had a wonderful visit at Shari’s place. The perfect fall weather allowed us to relax outside on the deck or in the pool house, head out on the lake via kayak or paddle board, and sit by the fire pit in the evening. We were able to cook meals each night in the amazing kitchen and make some long-lasting memories. While we were able to adjust accommodations to fit our large party, it’s important to know the room with the bunk beds upstairs is an open loft. The area was extremely family friendly with plenty to keep everyone busy. I highly recommend Shari’s place and we hope to return next year!

The location is fantastic, especially with a dock and easy access to an open finger of Lake Norman, perfect for tubing and waterskiing. The large deck and pool areas are also fantastic for relaxing and poolside activities. The house itself is well maintained and great for a mid-sized family.

This home has everything you need for a relaxing vacation! We suggest renting a boat to really enjoy the beautiful lake and all that it has to offer! The kids swam, fished off the dock for hours ,kayaked, paddle board and made s’mores almost every night in the fire pit. Truly one of our favorite vacation houses yet! Kitchen has everything!! The blender was great for frozen margaritas and virgin strawberry daiquiris. there is a bonus room next to the house that is perfect for entertaining as well ! 😊The layout of the house is perfect for 2 families and there is a washer / dryer unit on each floor! The yard is fenced and there is a basketball hoop in the driveway. We will definitely rent this house again! Communication was top notch!

Nights on Normandy was a beautiful, comfortable place to get away! The outdoor space is wonderful, as is the extra pool house space. The house was in great condition and the kitchen very well stocked. The rolling island is BRILLIANT and we used it every day! We had the windows open often and really no bugs. Maybe the time of year. Not complaints, but things we thought through the week, "oh this would be nice": *A combination lock on the back door for when you go out on the boat *A seat/stool of some sort in the master shower, for us ladies who need a place to put a foot to shave our legs. :) *A couple chairs at the dock, even if stacked plastic *We could not figure out how to change the temp in the house, could have texted you but wasn't a huge deal. It seemed to be pre-programmed? Again, not at all complaints, just feedback. We had a wonderful time!

Our two families, 4 adults and 4 kids, met at this amazing house and enjoyed a week long summer vacation together. We were impressed with all the thoughtful amenities provided. The realtors kept in touch by text and were easy to contact. The house sits on a beautiful cove with a large dock. We also rented the boat through the company and it was waiting for us when we arrived. The pool was great for the kids and the fire pit was enjoyed making s'mores nightly. The house was nicely furnished and large enough for us all to have our own space and large areas like the kitchen and living room were nice to gather in as a group. We will definitely be back to enjoy Lake Norman.

We really enjoyed our week, the house was clean and included all the essentials. The pool, dock and outdoor space was very nice. The family really enjoyed the ability to swim in pool, fish off dock, bring our boat to use for the week, use the kayaks and make smores from the fire pit. We stayed here while visiting our daughter who attends Davidson College. The house is beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the utensils you would need for making meals. The beds were very comfortable. The master bedroom is downstairs with 2 bedrooms upstairs. The 3rd room upstairs has bunk beds in it but is not closed off to the downstairs. We used the kayaks one day and made a fire in the pit outside. We will definitely return!
