Bonjour! Start your day with coffee and delectable French pastries at Cocotte, where quality and authenticity are core values. Using the finest flours from Grands Moulins de Paris and fresh seasonal ingredients, the bakers at Cocotte create and bake everything on site daily.
After breakfast, wander through the woods and along the lake at Jetton Park. There is plenty of parking along this paved path, and it’s a great place to get your nature fix. One loop is approximately 1.5 miles.
For lunch, take in the views and the vintage vibe at Hello Sailor. Hello Sailor is a bright and sunny waterfront restaurant with alluring retro charm. Their food is chef-driven and unexpected, adding to the restaurant’s whimsical atmosphere.
Later, pop around town visiting some of our favorite small businesses. You’ll enjoy Old Town Vinyl for records and music-themed merch, Nina’s Boutique for on-trend women’s clothing, Bells Box Collective for nontoxic candles and cleaning supplies, and new and used books at Walls of Books. Nearby at The Outpost, you’ll find thoughtful gifts, local goods, and your mid-afternoon coffee fix!
For an upscale dinner experience, choose Barrel and Fork. Located in a house built in 1906, Barrel & Fork exudes a cozy ambiance and serves some of the finest wines, bourbons, and cocktails in Lake Norman. The menu features flavors and inspiration from the old South with a touch of modern elegance.
Lastly, cap off the night with a show at the Cain Center. The arts center is Cornelius’s crown jewel and features everything from comedy shows to orchestral performances. Check out their lineup in advance, and note that tickets are only available online.
