I was lucky enough to sit down with Traci, the owner of Lake Norman's only lakefront pub, The Cabin, serving up cold beer, great wine, and the best priced cocktails in the area. I hope you enjoy learning more about Traci and The Cabin as much as I did.
What is the The Cabin on Lake Norman?
So I live just 2 miles down the road and did not know it existed. The pub has been around for 10 years. We have a great following and location right here on Lake Norman; with that, I wanted to keep the name and the feel but clean it up. It was very eclectic and Chachki here so I wanted to do something and also have it like 'œCheers,' 'œwhere everybody knows your name.' I know pretty much everyone who walks in the door and they always come back.
Who should visit The Cabin?
We have our locals but really anyone should come. We have so many people coming from South End driving up to the lake. A lot of people staying at Homewood Suites come over here who are in town for all the different corporations and work.
I also call ourselves Lake Norman's premier first date place!
Does The Cabin serve food?
We don't have a kitchen so we can't provide food, we're just so small. We do small snacks and stuff like that and charcuterie boards just to get a little bit of salt in your belly but otherwise we're just a small quaint little pub vibe, the perfect place.
